Scott Blanchette

Ernst & Young

Scott is a Manager in the Security and Technology Solutions practice at Ernst & Young. His advisory duties focus on three primary markets: Healthcare, Finance and Energy, while his clients range in size from the Fortune 50 to start-up ventures. He specializes in IT strategic planning, information architectures, corporate security policies and procedures, public key infrastructures (PKI), and network design, development and implementation. He frequently serves as the senior technical advisory to corporate executives and their direct reports. In an advisory capacity, he serves as the information security officer for a mid-sized Houston-based energy corporation. In this role, he is responsible for the development of corporate security policies, information security training, the re-engineering of the IT infrastructure, the mitigation of potential information risks, and the development of a single sign-on and centralized user administration capability.

Scott holds a B.A. from James Madison University (George C. Marshall Scholar), an M.S. from the University of North Texas, an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland, is currently a Master’s candidate in Information Technology and Software Engineering at Harvard University, and holds a Certificate of Executive Education in e-Commerce from Rice University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has completed commercial training/certification programs from Tivoli (SecureWay Suite), Netegrity (SiteMinder), AXENT (NetProwler), CheckPoint (Firewall-1), Cisco (Altiga VPN), Vanguard (OS390 Security Suite), Microsoft (Windows NT and 2000), and Aperture, as well as multiple non-commercial systems, such as the KG-84, KIV-6/KIV-7, STU-III, STE, BGPHES, SSEE, TRDF, COBLU and CDF.

Gregory D. Frost

Roedel Parsons Koch Frost Balhoff & McCollister

Gregory D. Frost is a partner in the law firm of Roedel, Parsons, Koch, Frost, Balhoff & McCollister. His practice concentrates in healthcare law and governmental relations, including the representation of physicians, not-for-profit, for-profit and governmental hospitals, other types of healthcare providers, and health care trade associations. His legal practice includes licensure and other regulatory matters, Medicare, Medicaid and workers’ compensation reimbursement issues, defense of civil and criminal fraud prosecutions, transactional matters and litigation involving healthcare providers. His governmental relations practice involves assisting clients in the development and implementation of complete legislative and regulatory strategies.

Prior to joining his firm, Mr. Frost was Vice President of Legal & Governmental Affairs with the Louisiana Hospital Association for more than eight years. He has lectured at Louisiana State University, Tulane University, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, has served on the adjunct faculty of the College of St. Francis, and regularly speaks before trade and professional organizations and legal audiences. In addition to numerous articles on health law issues, he is the editor of Louisiana Medical Records Law which is currently in use as a textbook at two Louisiana colleges. He has also edited Managed Care, Collections and Related Issues, and the Workers' Comp Medicals Handbooks (five volumes). Mr. Frost is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Association of Louisiana Lobbyists, the Louisiana State and Baton Rouge Bar Associations. He is also a founding member and three-term director of the Louisiana Society of Hospital Attorneys. He received his J.D. degree from LSU in 1981.

Brian Grayek

Computer Associates

Brian Grayek is a Senior Consultant in the eTrust Presales group with over 21 years of experience in security.  Brian actively participated in the documentation of the "Motorola Electronic Information Security Standards", given presentations worldwide, and interacted with security professionals from most of the Fortune 100 in the United States. 

He has been the architect of many secured networks, started several organization's security groups from the ground up, has been responsible for establishing security policies for personnel as well as IT, and has been operationally responsible for all the network, computer, and security operations for a global organization. 

 Brian is a member of ISSA and is highly regarded for his security expertise in the industry.

 Janet Lorenz, CPA, CISA

Ernst & Young

Janet Lorenz is a Senior Manager in the Technology and Security Risk Services practice at Ernst & Young. Janet has over 10 years of business experience with Ernst & Young providing information systems assurance and security services, as well as financial auditing services. She is responsible for service delivery and engagement management relating to IT security assurance services for Ernst & Young health sciences clients in the Gulf Coast Area. In this capacity she serves Ernst & Young clients from an audit, controls and consulting perspective. She is the E&Y Gulf Coast area HIPAA Services Coordinator and a member of the National HIPAA Team. She is a Certified Public Accountant (Texas) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southwestern University at Georgetown, Texas.

Michael C. McDermand

Computer Associates

Mike McDermand is the Vice President of Healthcare Solutions at Computer Associates. Having focused on the Healthcare industry over the past fifteen years, Mr. McDermand was recently named to this position in May 2000 after spending several years in Sales Management positions at Computer Associates. In this position, Mike has the responsibility of working with strategic partners and global clients in the healthcare industry, to create solutions to many challenges that are common to the industry. Most recently, Mike has focused on launching CA’s initiatives to assist clients in addressing issues that are being faced due to the impending HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) legislation in the US. Prior to joining Computer Associates, Mr. McDermand spend ten years in various sales, marketing, and management rolls at Konica Business Technologies. Mike is a graduate, with honors, of the University of Illinois, having received a bachelor of science in Economics.
