Home What  are  WorkGroups? Becoming a Member Advisory Board More Information

Who Are We?

HIPAA Privacy WorkGroups is a registered service mark of Healthcare Provider Management, Inc.  The concept grew out of a familiarity with the operations, capabilities and resources of providers, an understanding of the regulations and their implications, and the experience of providers adapting to Y2K readiness.  In addition to its principals and consultants, HPM is assembling an Advisory Board to ensure that the WorkGroups concept provides the maximum value for its members.

HPM has a great deal of experience with the problems and issues facing healthcare providers.  It's founders - Greg and Lisa Frost - have been helping providers for almost twenty years with a variety of problems.  HPM was founded in 1992 to assist providers, particularly hospitals and physicians, with specific operational and management issues.  Since then, in addition to direct consulting and services, it has sponsored dozens of seminars and workshops while publishing a number of widely read manuals and newsletters.

Among HPM's best known publications are

Louisiana Medical Records Law

The State's premier reference manual for medical records issues, this handbook is required reading in health information management in two Louisiana colleges.

Workers' Comp Medicals Handbooks

This five volume set includes both the Louisiana and federal workers' compensation medical fee schedules.

HPM also produces Louisiana's most popular and best attended seminars on medical records law and  workers' compensation reimbursement topics, with literally thousands of Louisiana professionals attending over the years.
